Naturally, when the pair meet, sparks fly, insults are traded in a fiery exchange, and they expect never to see each other again. But they do. Again. And again. And again. Until they feel there’s no choice but to join forces and take drastic action together. Fire Fire is an exciting, moving drama about people taking big risks to protest, people who love to hate them, and how some people discover they have more in common than they think. Writers’ Nights Calling all writers. If you write – or have an interest in writing – we invite you to the Writers’ Night performances of Fire Fire by John Webber on 9 and 10 September when £10 tickets are available after you register yourself as a WRITER. Before each of the two performances, playwright John Webber will also answer questions about the play, writing for the stage and producing a tour. In addition, once you have seen the performance, you may choose to submit a short play response to Fire Fire . One play will be selected to be published on the Metal Rabbit website on Monday 28 September, with comments on the play by John Webber and the Metal Rabbit team. Registering: To register as a writer and to receive the code for your £10 ticket, simply send your name by email to [email protected] . Nothing else is needed! Pre-show talk: John Webber will take your questions from 6pm in the Arcola bar. Play guidelines: Your play response to Fire Fire has only one restriction – it must be no more than ten pages (not including the cover page). Submit it by email to [email protected] by 12 noon on Saturday 12 September. Announcement: The chosen play will be announced on social media on Monday 28th September and published on the Metal Rabbit website on the same day.
