About this event
After a year chained in solitary confinement, Nami Matsushima attacks the prison warden and is sent to a brutal labour camp. She escapes with six fellow prisoners, beginning a hallucinatory flight across an unforgiving landscape while guards, police and the violence of the outside world close in. The second Scorpion film abandons almost every rule of realism. Shunya Itō unleashes kabuki tableaux, ghostly songs, blood-red waterfalls and apocalyptic revenge, while Meiko Kaji stalks through it all like a silent figure from myth.
