Known for his candid, emotionally resonant songwriting, Donovan Woods blends folk, country and pop with disarming honesty. Alongside his own acclaimed releases – including Hard Settle, Ain’t Troubled, Both Ways, Without People and the Polaris Prize long-listed Things Were Never Good If They’re Not Good Now – he has written songs recorded by artists such as Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Ben Platt . In 2026 he returns with new music, including the EP Squander Your Gifts , a moving tribute to his late friend and collaborator Abe Stoklasa .
