Adapted from J. G. Ballard's controversial novel, Crash is one of David Cronenberg's most provocative and uncompromising films. Rejecting sensationalism in favour of clinical detachment, Cronenberg explores the relationship between modern technology, the body and human desire with unsettling precision. Winner of the Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, the film sparked fierce debate upon its release and remains one of the defining works of transgressive cinema.
