About this event
Bonesandtheaft At the Hope and Anchor Islington October 18th 2026 Band/ Press Info bones and the aft Playing songs from their soon to be released 6th album All borders are Imaginary bones and the aft are the musical incarnation of the Liver & Lights Scriptorium, John Bently’s long running chronicle of the ordinary people and things of London, past present and future. Champion of the seldom heard voice, bones and the aft is the DIY ethic personified : a home made band making home made music in home made costumes. sometimes described as Primal Rock Theatre; stark state-of-the-nation storytelling and virtuoso musicianship: “loud guitars and burbling synths, in unearthly correspondance with apocalyptic saxophone and dancing flute, descended more from the street ballad peddlars of yore than anything remotely contemporary…” Evening Standard Edmund Ford with special guest, Warren Martin perform folk songs dating as far back as the 17th Century across guitar, banjo and shruti box. Expect war, death, heartbreak and pints. Tickets on sale in advance from : https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bones-and-the-aft-plus-edmund-ford-with-warren-martin-tickets-2000181826687?aff=oddtdtcreator
