About this event
Perhaps best-known as a member of the critically acclaimed duo “Binker & Moses” - who received a 2015 MOBO Award, a 2016 Parliamentary Jazz Award for ‘Best Newcomer’ and two 2016 Jazz FM Awards for Breakthrough and Best UK Jazz Act - saxophonist Binker Golding is a superb player of fascinating contradiction and diversity. His two albums to date (with a third due shortly) have further cemented his reputation as an important voice on the UK jazz scene. Tonight he makes a welcome return to the Club to “play some of my favourite jazz standards and traditional blues numbers”. “Surprisingly straight up and filled with wonderfully lyrical flourishes" London Jazz News; “…fresh and invigorating, continuing the best and most innovative of the hard-bop style” Jazz Journal; “None of the new...improviser-composer…saxophonists on London's underground scene are more accomplished than Binker Golding” All About Jazz binkergolding.com/ Photo by John Lyons

This venue’s world
This venue sits in the collection, not this one title.
Traditions this room works in
Tags on the venue. Other London rooms carry the same lineage. Not a claim that this film invented the tradition.
Also playing this week
Same kind of night (music) in London. Spread across the week, not a ranking.
A different kind of night
Same city and close on taste. A different discipline, on purpose.
