In Metropia, a gigantic city in an alternate future as seen from 1939, private eye Raymond Gunn is drawn into a case involving aliens, murder and a multimedia star named Venus Nova. Brad Bird's smart animated caper, set in a futuristic world where humans and aliens co-exist, sees a private eye drawn into a murder investigation. Brad Bird (The Incredibles, The Iron Giant) delivers a film with a pitch-perfect script, stunning design and a voice cast that includes Sam Rockwell, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Waits. It's first-rate filmmaking for all ages.
