About this event

Join internationally experienced comedian Nik Coppin for a fun, relaxed and supportive introduction to the world of stand-up comedy.Whether you’ve always dreamed of getting on stage, want to tick a live comedy gig off your bucket list, or simply fancy trying something completely different, this workshop is the perfect place to start.For the past few years, Nik has been organising and hosting beginner stand-up comedy courses and workshops across the UK, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia, helping people from all walks of life discover their comedy voice and experience the thrill of performing live.Over this two-day course, you’ll get an insight into how stand-up works, explore your own comedy ideas, learn how to develop material and have the opportunity to take to the stage in a welcoming and encouraging environment.Saturday – 11am - 3pmWorkshop, comedy exercises and developing your material.Sunday – 11am - 3pmMore comedy, refining your material and getting ready for the stage.Sunday Night Showcase - 7:30pm - 9:30pmOn Sunday evening, participants will have the chance to perform their new material in a live showcase at the bar. Performing is completely voluntary, but friends and family are welcome to come along and support the performers.For more details and tickets for friends and family.No previous experience is needed — just bring yourself, your sense of humour and a willingness to give it a go.Come along, meet some new people, have a laugh and discover whether stand-up comedy could be your new favourite thing.
