About this event
GFT, together with The National Autistic Society Scotland, is delighted to provide Access Film Club: a screening and post-film discussion in a friendly and welcoming environment. Objectified is a documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them. The film documents the creative processes of some of the world’s most influential product designers, and looks at how the things they make impact our lives. It’s a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about the designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis. It’s about personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability. What can we learn about who we are, and who we want to be, from the objects with which we surround ourselves? All tickets are bargain price, and CEA cards are accepted. To book with a CEA card please come to GFT box office or call 0141 332 6535 to talk to our front of house staff or leave a message with your number and they will call you back. This screening will finish at approximately 7:35pm. There are no ads or trailers before the film, the film starts after the introduction, and the sound is slightly lower than in other screenings. There is access to sensory toys and a Quiet Room.
