Dr Mari Takayanagi FSA tells the story of record-keeping in the House of Lords and House of Commons from c. 1497 to 1963 and the story of the two Westminster towers where the archives were stored - the medieval Jewel Tower, and Charles Barry’s magnificent Gothic creation, the Victoria Tower.
