About this event
One year on from receiving the 2025 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, Philippe Aghion joins us at LSE to mark the official launch of the Huth Initiative for a New Political Economy. Professor Aghion will explore one of the most pressing and challenging questions of our time: what kind of economy we want to build for the future - one that is dynamic, resilient and generates meaningful work. His remarks will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by Larry Kramer, and joined by Tim Besley, Daniel Chandler and Sara Hobolt.

A different kind of night
Same city and close on taste. A different discipline, on purpose.
