David Grant brings back the group where he first found fame in 1980, LINX, for their first live shows in over 40 years! LINX were one of the main acts of the 'Brit-Funk' era with six hit singles between 1980-1982 with their biggest song 'Intuition' reaching #7 in the UK charts. Other hits included 'So This Is Romace', 'Throw Away The Key', 'Rise and Shine', 'Can't Help Myself' and their timeless classic debut single 'You're Lying'. LINX also contributed the track 'Don't Get in My Way' to the influential C81 compilation cassette released by New Musical Express magazine in 1981. David Grant went onto have huge success as a solo artist with songs such as 'Stop and Go', 'Watching You Watching Me', 'Could it Be I'm Falling In Love' (with Jaki Graham) and more. David has also appeared on the TV shows 'Pop Idol' and 'Fame Academy' as a judge/coach. Phil Fearon & Galaxy racked up a series of UK chart hits in the 1980's including 'Dancing Tight', 'What Do I Do', 'Everybody's Laughing', 'I Can Prove It' and more. An AGMP Concerts presentation. The Spooky Men’s Chorale is a magnificent, many-headed beast which has single- handedly turned the world of men’s singing upside down. Bypassing well trodden avenues, they carve out new territories of mighty man sounds, exquisite tenderness, and charming stupidity to both celebrate masculinity and mock it. The Spooky Men’s Chorale is 25 this year, and this tour they will celebrate their birthday with some delightful crumpets from their shimmering, ludicrous history, as well as the usual smorgasbord of tantalising new bon bons. To see them is to forever not unsee them, they are just a bunch of blokes, but where they take you will blow your mind…. In the UK/Europe they have appeared at major festivals including Tonder (Denmark), Cambridge, Broadstairs, Wickham, Camp Bestival, Towersey, Shrewsbury, and Edinburgh Fringe. Hailed by NPR as "one of America's defining voices of freedom and peace," Mavis Staples is the kind of once-in-a-generation artist whose impact on music and culture would be difficult to overstate. She's both a Blues and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer; a civil rights icon; a GRAMMY Award-winner; a chart-topping soul/gospel/R&B pioneer; a National Arts Awards Lifetime Achievement recipient; and a Kennedy Center honoree. Mavis Staples marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., performed at John F. Kennedy's inauguration, and sang in Barack Obama's White House. Mavis Staples has collaborated with everyone from Prince and Bob Dylan to Arcade Fire and Hozier, and performed with The Band at The Last Waltz. At a time when most artists begin to wind down, Mavis Staples ramped things up, releasing a trio of critically acclaimed albums in her 70's with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy that prompted Pitchfork to rave that "her voice has only gained texture and power over the years".
