williammorrissociety.org →The William Morris Society is a registered charity founded in 1955 to promote knowledge of William Morris -- craftsman, designer, poet, printer, socialist and novelist -- among members and the public. It operates from the Coach House and Lower Rooms of Kelmscott House, Morris's home for the final eighteen years of his life, at Hammersmith on the River Thames. The Society runs museum exhibitions on Morris's life and work, guided tours of the house, workshops (textile and pattern-making among them), talks and lectures, and social events, alongside a small collection and archive. Open Thursday to Sunday.
