Scottish Storytelling Centre

43-45 High Street · EH1 1SR

www.scottishstorytellingcentre.com/

Opened in 2006 as the world's first purpose-built centre for oral storytelling, the Scottish Storytelling Centre sits on the Royal Mile alongside the historic John Knox House and the Netherbow Theatre, run in partnership between the Church of Scotland and TRACS, a UNESCO-accredited advisor on intangible cultural heritage. Its year-round programme of storytelling, spoken word, theatre and music, plus the Scottish International Storytelling Festival and Edinburgh TradFest, suits visitors curious about oral tradition as a living contemporary art form, not a museum piece.
