Polish Jazz Festival 2026 presents Warsaw Jazz Takeover. As the Polish capital, Warsaw boasts one of the most vibrant and pulsating music scenes in Europe and the current edition of Polish Jazz Festival brings a celebration of this music to Union Chapel by showcasing some of the key artists from the jazz and world music communities. The night will kick off with an energetic and young guitar driven jazz trio - HVMBLE. The second set will come at the hands of the multi-award winning Marcin Masecki Trio. Masecki’s engaging virituosic piano compositions operate at the intersection of jazz, latin, classical and experimental music. The Warsaw Jazz Takeover will be completed by a legendary world music ensemble - Warsaw Village Band. Nominated for the BBC World Music Award, this 8 piece presents a musical language rooted in traditional folk combined with surrealistic, spacious improvisational jams. Please arrive early before event door times if you have preferred seats. Due to the nature of our venue, please be prepared to queue for entry. Marcelo Bratke Book Now Home / Events / Marcelo Bratke About the artist Marcelo Bratke began his piano studies at 14 with Zélia Deri and made his orchestral debut just two years later with the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra under Eleazar de Carvalho, earning the APCA Revelation Pianist Award. He made his European debut at the Salzburg Festival in 1988 and has since performed at leading venues worldwide, including Sala São Paulo, Wigmore Hall, Suntory Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, and Carnegie Hall. He has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Alexander Lazarev, Isaac Karabtchevsky, and John Neschling, as well as artists including Julian Joseph and Milton Nascimento. In 2008, he founded Camerata Brasil, an orchestra of young musicians from underprivileged backgrounds, which has performed internationally. Bratke also created the Cinemúsica project with visual artist Mariannita Luzzati, and the Villa-Lobos Worldwide Project, dedicated to promoting the composer’s work through recordings and performances. Alongside his performance career, he is an active broadcaster and filmmaker, hosting the radio program Alma Brasileira and producing multiple television series on classical music. In 2017, he was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit (Commander) by the Brazilian government for his contributions to music and culture. About the performance Marcelo Bratke presents a captivating performance blending cinema and the sound of popular Brazilian music. The visuals include a 15-minute documentary capturing a tour by Marcelo Bratke and Mariannita Luzzati, who performed in 10 Brazilian prisons. This is followed by the multimedia concert itself, bringing the sense of liberation experienced by the prisoners to the audience. Evelyne Berezovsky (Opener) Josiah Wade Book Now Home / Events / Evelyne Berezovsky (Opener) Josiah Wade Evelyne Berezovsky has performed concertos with the Tokyo Mozart Players under Xavier Roth, Musica Viva under Alexander Rudin, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra under Andris Poga, Thailand Symphony Orchestra and Czech Philharmonic under Gudni Emilsson, Hulencourt Soloists Chamber Orchestra under Giuseppe Montesano and the Enschede Symphony Orchestra under Jaap wan Zweden amongst others. Born in Moscow in 1991 Evelyne started playing the piano at the age of 5 and appeared with an orchestra for the first time at the age of 11 playing Mozart’s Concerto K415. She has studied with the renowned professors Hamish Milne (London), Elisso Virssaladze (Italy), Rena Shereshevskaya (Paris) and recently has been working with Maria João Pires in Portugal. Evelyne is a Grand Prix winner at the Goergy Cziffra International Competition (2019) in Paris, France. AGMP Concerts presents: THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS + NINE BELOW ZERO (Acoustic) For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American Blues band. The group's distinctive and powerful sound manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as 'Tuff Enuff' and 'Wrap It Up'. Co-founder Kim Wilson, the sole original member, still spearheads the group. Muddy Waters called Kim Wilson his favorite harmonica player and vocalist. "Muddy Waters was very good to me," Wilson says. "He almost adopted me. I'll never forget him." Kim Wilson was influenced by Little Walter, George "Harmonica" Smith, Lazy Lester and James Cotton, Bobby "Blue" Bland, B.B. King, Otis Rush, Jimmy Rodgers, and Muddy Waters. Jimmie Vaughan & Kim Wilson founded the Fabulous Thunderbirds in 1974. In 1979, The Fabulous Thunderbirds released their first self-titled album. Primarily blues influenced, it became a cult classic. In subsequent releases, the band started to incorporate more Cajun, rock 'n roll and soul influences. The album 'T-Bird Rhythm' was produced by Nick Lowe. In 1986, The Fabulous Thunderbirds reached a commercial peak with the album, 'Tuff Enuff'. The single of the same title as well as the singles 'Wrap It Up' and 'Look At That', all went top 40.
