Community & Diaspora Stages

London rooms where culture is made from a specific community outward: queer cabaret, Black British theatre, South Asian performance, disability-led work, diaspora arts and outer-London multi-arts programming.

London's strongest cultural rooms are often not trying to be for everyone first. They begin with a community, a history, a migration route, an access practice, a neighbourhood audience, and then invite the rest of the city in. This collection gathers venues where that specificity is the point: a Vauxhall queer cabaret room with living heritage, a Brixton stage built around global-majority artists, a South Asian producing theatre in Earlsfield, a disability-led company in Hackney, and arts centres whose programmes are shaped by the communities around them.
