Taiwanese pianist Yu-Chieh Lin is an internationally recognised prize-winning pianist whose artistic achievements have been distinguished through major international competitions across Europe and the UK. He received his musical training at the Gnessin Special School of Music in Moscow before continuing his studies at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where he completed his Master’s degree and Artist Diploma with Distinction. He studied with renowned pianists including Norma Fisher, Ronan O’Hora and Noriko Ogawa. He is the Second Prize winner of the Bromsgrove International Musicians Competition 2023 (UK), Grand Prix and overall winner of the International Competition of Slavic Music (Moscow), Third Prize winner of the 7th Riga International Piano Competition. He was also a laureate at the Moscow Scriabin Competition, the 5th International Wanda Landowska Competition in Italy and was a semifinalist at the 2025 Norah Sande, Birmingham and Dudley International Piano Competitions in the UK. In 2026, he was accepted into the George Enescu and Vigo International Piano Competitions. Yu-Chieh has participated in several prestigious WFIMC competitions, including the Maria Canals, Premio Jaén, Las Rozas de Madrid, and Gian Battista Viotti International Piano Competitions. He has performed across Europe and the UK in venues including the Palau de la Música Catalana Barcelona, Rachmaninoff Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Mozarteum Salzburg, Milton Court Concert Hall, Bechstein Hall, and Steinway Hall London. He has collaborated with orchestras including the Academy of Ancient Music, Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra, RCM Symphony Orchestra, Gnessin School Symphony Orchestra and China-Russia Symphony Orchestra.
