Screening as part of Baby and Carer screenings . 1976, Provincetown, Massachussetts. 19-year-old budding writer Anthony Bourdain puts those literary dreams on hold for a summer, instead stumbling into a job at a Cape Cod restaurant. Learning the trade in the chaotic kitchen environment under the guidance of a Brazilian-born restauranteur, the course of Bourdain's life is about to be changed for good... Featuring an extraordinary lead performance from Dominic Sessa as a young Bourdain (building on his breakout performance in The Holdovers ) and fantastic supporting performances from Emilia Jones ( CODA , The Running Man ), Leo Woodall ( Tuner , Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy ) and a never-better Antonio Banderas, Tony is a funny, warm, and endlessly charming treat from Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie and Blackberry director Matt Johnson, taking stories from Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential memoir - hugely enjoyable for anyone, whether you're an ardent Bourdain fan or barely know the name.
