The Last of Sheila was suggested by our member Dan Berlinka, who writes: ‘It’s a terrific but underseen whodunnit, with an all star cast. Script by Stephen Sondheim and Anthony Perkins. It’s the best Agatha Christie that isn’t actually an Agatha Christie, with a genuinely clever solution. And more than anything, it’s fun!’ A year after Sheila was killed by a hit-and-run driver, her wealthy husband invites a group of friends to spend a week on his yacht playing a scavenger hunt mystery game. The game turns out to be all too real and all too deadly. Content warning: Characters display dated homophobic attitudes which suggest homosexuality to be shameful behaviour. Please note, the screening on Tuesday 8 September is our free members’ screening, whilst Tuesday 15 September is a regular screening, which is open to the general public.
