At its heart lurks the enigmatic Dr. Caligari and his sleepwalking pawn, Cesare—an ominous duo whose presence stains the town with dread. What is performance, and what is control? This landmark of German Expressionism still crackles with menace and wonder, and is brought to life with a brand new piano score from Tom Marlow of The Lucky Dog Picturehouse . “Silent Film has no finer custodians” Nicholas Barber, BBC Culture The Musicians of The Lucky Dog Picturehouse are dedicated to recreating the original cinema experience; bringing together classic silent films and live, period specific music. They have performed and lectured at BFI Southbank, LoCo Film Festival, London Transport Museum and numerous other venues across the UK.
