His new project Plants Can Dance uses biosonification – the transformation of signals gleaned from living organisms into sound – to turn plants and fungi into co-composers of ambient music, expressed through modular synths. Responding to environmental changes, from the rays of the sun to being watered, the plants generate a twinkling, slowly modulating soundtrack. Take time, slow down, become a point of stillness as the plants twirl and spin around you. ACCESS - this is a free installation, open daily during Tramway's opening hours. Highly Visual- No/ Little Text Image - Still from Plants Can Dance, courtesy of the artist

Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
