About this event

Part of Sonica Glasgow 2026 Open Wednesdays to Fridays 12pm to 5pm Saturdays 12pm to 6pm Sundays 12pm to 5pm ( Closed Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 Sep) The world is in a grain of sand in two new works by Rob St John, made in collaboration with local communities in Lancashire and Cumbria. Each piece uses recordings collected from microphones placed in water, vegetation and rock, with additional musical and narrative elements contributed by young people, scientists, historians and community members braided into these ambient sounds. Aiming to make the local a voice for the global, these works explore land ownership, environmental justice, ecological change, Anthropocene environments and hidden legacies of colonialism. ACCESS - this is a free installation, open daily during Tramway's opening hours. CREDITS Are You Lost?
