Tickets A new film featuring Chris Packham, leading climate and nature scientists, a former general and Jennifer Saunders – all being pretty frank about where things are heading and what can be done about it. We first screened this powerful film at the end of April, on an unseasonably warm day that really drove the message home. It’s fitting then that our decision to screen it again has fallen in the same week as the hottest day of this year so far, in the middle of a blazing summer where UK temps have soared above 30° on more than 35 days. We can all agree that this summer has been unbearably hot – what you might not know is that this is probably the least extreme weather we will ever experience in the UK. Time to get educated, and get organised! The People’s Emergency Briefing is a brilliant film featuring Chris Packham, leading climate and nature scientists, a former general and Jennifer Saunders – all being pretty frank about where things are heading and what can be done about it. After watching, we will have an honest discussion about any feelings that may have come up, and see if we can transform some of those feelings into community climate action. Plus, there will (most likely) be free vegan samosas! Doors 7pm, film 7:30-8:30pm, facilitated discussion until 9:30pm. Tickets are free but donations towards PRSC’s community work are always welcome. #PEBuk Entry requirements: 16+
