Bank Holiday Monday 31st August from 1pm in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Organised by LGBT HERO in partnership with the Royal Vauxhall Tavern Every August bank holiday, since 2007, hundreds of members of the LGBTQ+ community have been flocking to the Sports Day at the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, behind the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, to help to raise money for LGBT HERO. Some of the events include: Egg and spoon race Tug of war Sack Race 50m mince Drag race relay Three legged race Handbag toss Rhythmic gymnastics (This is the best event!). Sports Day is one of the most fun days of the LGBT calendar, it’s free to come and watch, and you can make a donation on the day to help the fundraising. The money raised on Sports Day goes directly to LGBT HERO which helps LGBTQ+ people to lead happier and healthier lives.
