Set in 12th-century Gujarat, the film tells the story of Nayki Devi, the courageous regent queen of the Chalukya–Solanki Dynasty. Following her legendary victory over invading forces, her life unfolds through an intimate conversation between Bapu and his granddaughter, blending history, memory and imagination. Their dialogue explores leadership, courage and the human cost of war, particularly for women. Literary interludes reveal Nayki Devi’s strength, strategy and sacrifice, while the boundary between storyteller and history gradually dissolves. The film culminates in a moving revelation that connects the past with the present.
