Espina is a vibrant comedy-drama by Daniel Poler inspired by the real-life experiences of its lead actor, Jonathan Benaim. Before undergoing spinal surgery, Jonathan embarks on an unexpected road trip to Panama with two unlikely companions, driven by a long-held desire for revenge. Blending sharp humor with emotional depth, the film challenges perceptions of disability while exploring friendship, resilience, forgiveness, and the transformative power of self-discovery. The film is screening as part of the London Latino Film Festival (LoLaFF) , a community-led, non-profit film festival in London that celebrates and amplifies Latin American voices through cinema.
