Join us at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club for a joyful double bill featuring two exciting performers, Jamie Hedge and Amber Van Dam. Blending live music, musical theatre, comedy and heartfelt storytelling, this promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, honesty and uplifting entertainment. Just Jamie Jamie Hedge steps out from behind the characters he usually plays to share the story of his own life and performing journey. From growing up in Cornwall to finding his place as a performer today, Jamie reflects on the experiences, emotions and unexpected turns that have shaped who he is. Combining comedy and much-loved musical theatre songs with more intimate and heartfelt moments, Just Jamie explores identity, self-acceptance and the courage it takes to become comfortable in your own truth. Accompanied by the brilliant Dean Austin on piano and joined by a selection of special guests, this deeply personal show celebrates the friends, family and fellow performers who have supported Jamie along the way. Warm, honest and firmly outside his comfort zone, Just Jamie is a celebration of embracing your own path, the good, the difficult and everything in between. Then It All Went WRONG Prepare for a feel-good evening of music, song and delightfully daft observations from Amber Van Dam. From auditions that went spectacularly awry to an arguably unhealthy obsession with Victoria Wood, Amber takes audiences on a light-hearted journey through life’s ups, downs, quirks and unexpected challenges. Packed with playful storytelling, uplifting music and beloved show tunes you may find yourself singing along to, Then It All Went WRONG finds humour in the moments when life refuses to follow the script. Under the musical direction of the fabulous Dean Austin, this warm, witty and wonderfully silly show is guaranteed to leave you smiling and hopefully feeling a little better about the times when everything goes wrong. About the performers Jamie Hedge is a 25 year old actor/performer from Cornwall, now living in London. Growing up, he was involved with multiple different theatre groups and companies, doing a range of musical theatre to plays. He went to Royal Holloway University of London to study Drama with Acting, before now studying an MA in Musical Theatre at Associated Studios. Jamie is a versatile performer, actor, singer, and dancer, ranging from comedy to more serious styles. Amber Van Dam is currently completing her two years of intensive professional training and an MA in Musical Theatre at Associated Studios. She is a strong character actor, vocalist and dancer with a flair for quirky comedy. Hot off her recent run as an ensemble player and featured dancer in Sweet Charity at Riverside Studios, Amber combines electric energy with honest, deeply human storytelling.
Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
