A woman named Lucy is sentenced to death for the murder of her daughter, but as she tells her story to a nun, a bizarre chain of events is revealed involving a psychic, a corrupt politician, and two FBI agents investigating a strange alien presence. As the mystery unfolds, the boundaries between reality, science fiction, horror, and absurd comedy become increasingly blurred. A sequel of sorts to Hirohisa Sasaki’s Crazy Lips (2000), this wildly eccentric Japanese genre mash-up combines alien invasion, horror, comedy, and surreal absurdity. With appearances from cult Japanese filmmakers and actors including Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Hideo Nakata, it plays like an intentionally chaotic parody of UFO movies, police thrillers, and exploitation cinema.

Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
