GLUE 2026 Join us for the London launch of Pina issue #3, featuring a conversation between American Artist and Lola Olufemi, moderated by Pina’s editor-curator Catalina Imizcoz. Pina, founded in 2024, is a printed, portable exhibition space. It functions as a commissioning platform, collaborating with artists to create exhibitions existing solely within 60 pages of the magazine. Each exhibition is accompanied by a conversation between the artist and a notable thinker, and a newly commissioned short story. In issue #3, American Artist presents ‘Power Grid’, accompanied by a fiction piece by Lola Olufemi. ‘Power Grid’ is an immersive mapping of contemporary sociocultural experience along X-Y axes intersecting poverty, wealth, captivity and freedom. It lays bare a matrix of disparities inherent to life under late-stage racial and extractive capitalism: from ‘being in love’, situated between poverty and freedom; to ‘political asylum seeking’ at the extreme of poverty and captivity; and ‘recreational space travel’ as the ultimate manifestation of wealth and freedom. Artist and Olufemi will be in conversation about the pairing of their exhibition and story, discussing the potential of the printed page to reimagine the exhibition itself – and how, where and why it exists.
