The Tron Theatre is delighted to be a part of this year’s Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival . With a theme of Glasgow Goes Out: The Places That Made Us , it seems only appropriate that we throw our stage doors open to the public. We will be offering short tours of the theatre buildings including the James and Robert Adam church auditorium, the historic 16th century Tron Steeple and the JJ Burnet Curtain Wall, as well as revealing the illustrious history of this famous theatre. The final part of the tour will require climbing steps, to enter the Tron Steeple, but this part of the tour can be left out if preferred. All other aspects of the tour are accessible by lift or ramps. Tours start from 11am, with the final tour at 4.30pm. Organised by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust since its inception in 1990, the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival has grown to be Scotland’s largest free celebration of architecture, heritage and community, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to explore the stories, buildings and cultural spaces that shape our city.

Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
