Synopsis – DJ, a mentally-plagued electronica musician, stumbles upon the “Master Frequency”—a dangerous sound wave that distorts the body and mind. As DJ falls deeper into the frequency’s grasp, they must save their mind and loved ones. Bringing some sci-fi into the mix for the Horror All-Dayer, GASP! is very proud to present Bosmo Kosmerly’s mind-bending Dark Frequencies. This is a great example of how to do DIY punk queer filmmaking the right way, blending film and music to create something truly creepy that blends elements of slasher, psychological horror, and thriller on an expert level whilst telling the story of its compelling protagonist. A deeply personal and touching film that also happens to be ridiculously cool and scary, this is a very exciting directorial debut from a very exciting up-and-coming filmmaker to watch out for.
