Makeda’s blend of reggae, soul and R&B, dubbed ‘Roots Soul’, creates a unique sound rooted in her Jamaican heritage and Rastafari upbringing. Her songwriting weaves together stories of movement, empowerment and the African diaspora throughout the Caribbean.
