Short Films for Wee Ones features an exciting mix of stories and animation styles from around the world – each celebrating friendship, accepting difference and cooperation. Film screening in this programme: Kukeleku – Nugget is a rooster without a voice – but when he discovers a squeaky toy, he thinks he’s found the solution. How the Bear Composed a Song – A bear can be a very talented animal, especially when he sets out to compose a song with his animal friends. Toti – Two small cells, Toti and Blue, become friends and together they start exploring the organism they inhabit. Capybaras – During hunting season, a family of capybaras seek refuge in a chicken coop. But, at first, the hens don’t trust them. Nina’s Friend – Nina sometimes struggles to communicate with other children her age. When she meets Ellie in the park, they begin a friendship, but how will Nina express herself? Ronny: A Crocumentary – A frog makes a documentary about Ronny: the friendly crocodile whose only desire is a hug. Bobel’s Kitchen – Bobel, a poisonous little mushroom, dreams of becoming a cook at his village market. But the prejudices of the villagers will make his task difficult. Short Films for Wee Ones is presented in partnership with Discovery Film Festival and Dundee Contemporary Arts.
