Joining us this week are the talented duo Emmanuel Bach (violin) and Jennifer Stern (piano). Emmanuel Bach (@emmanuelbachviolinist ) is gaining increasing recognition and has won the Royal Over-Seas League Strings Competition 2018 and was a Countess of Munster Trust Recital Artist 2017-20. Emmanuel has played as co-soloist with Anne-Sophie Mutter in JS Bach's Double Concerto and has performed at Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, De Montfort Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James' Piccadilly and St George's Bristol. He has also given recitals, performed as soloist and played as a chamber musician in the UK, Europe, USA and South Africa, and performed live and been broadcast on BBC Radio 3. He has performed numerous concertos, with Maxim Vengerov describing his playing of the Brahms Concerto as ‘a superb rendition…a deep and emotional performance.’ Jennifer Stern has extensive experience teaching at all levels, and currently holds positions at Eton College and the RCM Junior Department. She is also active as a performer, having appeared widely in South Africa and Europe as a soloist and chamber musician, and is an experienced accompanist. She is regularly invited to adjudicate festivals and competitions. Programme to include: Beethoven Sonata No.2 in A for Piano and Violin, Op.12 No.2 Schumann Sonata No.2 in D minor for Violin and Piano, Op.121 The next lunchtime concert is on Thursday 19 November and will be performed by Kasparas Mikužis (piano). Join the LSE Choir and Orchestra on Tuesday 8 December for the LSE Christmas Concert in the beautiful surroundings of St Clement Danes Church.
