Following the 10-year-long Trojan war, Odysseus, the heroic Greek king of Ithaca, embarks on another 10-year-long journey to arrive home and reunite with his wife Penelope. While Odysseus is waylaid by mythical beings such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, sirens, and the nymph Calypso, Penelope finds herself fending off suitors that have presumed Odysseus dead. Meanwhile, their son Telemachus is determined to find his father. The epic event of the summer, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey brings Homer's saga to life with scenes shot all across the world and an all-star cast including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, alongside Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o, with Zendaya and Charlize Theron. Shot entirely using brand new IMAX film technology, we can't wait to screen the latest in Nolan's incredible series of blockbusting films from the only 70mm print in Edinburgh!
