Flitting between folklore, literature, children’s comics and her own personal histories, she employs grotesque, subculture aesthetics to critique patriarchal systems and their intersections with capital. This event is free to attend, but booking is recommended via Eventbrite . The tour will take place at Gasworks, temporary seating provided on request. -- The Lead Supporter for Paloma Contreras Lomas's exhibition is Prue MacLeod. The Headline Supporter is Catherine Petitgas, with additional support from Fundación Ama Amoedo. The exhibition is made possible with thanks to Pequod Co. Gasworks’ Exhibitions programme is supported by public funding from Arts Council England.
Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
