About this event

The next seminar in the University of Manchester Digital Health Equity Seminar Series is on Wed 9th-Sep, 1-2pm via Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/99298120163 . Mel Ramasawmy (Queen Mary University of London) will talk about Equitable Large Language Models (LLMs) for health: the role of patients and the public. In this talk, Mel will describe a co-design approach where she developed educational animations about LLMs to support patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) in health AI research. She will share some examples of how approaches to supporting AI literacy can strengthen PPIE insights into AI-focused health research, drawing on her own programme of work in equity in patient-facing AI tools. Find more information about the talk and the speaker on our webpage.
