Maddie’s music explores the complexities of queerness, identity and disability. This means at points, some of Maddie’s songs reference challenging ideas surrounding mental health, self-harm and the oppression of marginalised groups. This being said, Maddie is an experienced performer who crafts their setlists in a way that safety nets audiences, they also bring ‘content warning cards’ that have warnings for specific songs within their setlist, as well as resources for audiences on them.
