The ClassicOne Cinema Club is heading back to school with the 1999 classic 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU. B ased on William Shakespeare's comedy The Taming of the Shrew, a high-school boy, Cameron, cannot date Bianca until her anti-social older sister, Kat, has a boyfriend. So, Cameron pays a mysterious boy, Patrick, to charm Kat. --- We’re bringing you a cinema club with a difference. To tie in with our lovely community library heritage, we are going to be screening classic films inspired by original books. Then, just like a book club, join other members in your screening for some complementary refreshments, to discuss your thoughts on the film and have a good old Acton get-together. Why not join us at our ClassicOne Cinema Club screenings and enjoy a good chat afterwards? As a community cinema, we want to make the films accessible for all, so tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis. Tickets for carers are free, and we welcome people living with dementia and care home residents. Please contact us if you want to bring a group. Programme supported by Film Hub London, managed by Film London. Proud to be a partner of the BFI Film Audience Network, funded by the National Lottery.
Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
