Two performers and their uncanny video doubles spiral through a strange, looping morning, in a mind-bending performance exploring how we live, slip and stall in time. Created by the team behind international hit The Making of Pinocchio , NOW NOT NOW is a darkly funny and disorientating dive into the peculiar ways we experience the flow of time. Set inside a warped morning routine, leaving the house on time becomes an epic struggle as tasks loop, snag and unravel. Manipulated video playback fractures the moment, as tempos diverge and multiple realities fall in and out of sync. Slow-motion selves and sped-up ghosts haunt the kitchen, revealing the absurdity of trying to keep pace with a frantic world that’s running out of time. Zooming between the domestic and the existential, the personal and the planetary, NOW NOT NOW is a visceral encounter with finitude, neurodivergence and the relentless demands of late-stage capitalism.
