Crafting forward-thinking, expansive hybrids of jazz and hip-hop, Butcher Brown takes careful note of the history and legacy of jazz and throws caution to the wind. With influences that span from D’Angelo and The Roots to Weather Report, the Virginia groove merchants fuse jazz, hip hop, soul, funk and R&B into an irresistible mix – Honouring each musical genre and, at the same time, challenges traditional musical boundaries.
