Inspired by real events. The Western Front, 1918. Nurses Christy, Maggie, and Bab have crossed the ocean from Canada to care for wounded soldiers in the First World War. Despite the terrible injuries they must deal with, they manage to stay hopeful as the dangers of war draw closer to their hospital.
