Writing Nature with Paul Evans, Gregory Leadbetter and Brett Westwood Sunday 11 October, 2pm–3pm, Eastside Jazz Club £8/£6.40 (concs) Beginning with the experiences of wonder and fascination when we pay close attention to the living world, writers Paul Evans (Far Wonders), Gregory Leadbetter (Wording: On Language and the Living World) and Brett Westwood (Wonderland) re-examine our understanding of ‘nature’ and ‘natural history’ in search of a language to deepen and revitalise the relation between perception and utterance, knowing and unknowing, the wild and the made: and explore their bearing on this time of ecological crisis.
