The Evolution of Horror - the UK's #1 horror and film history podcast - is joining us at Filmhouse to host a special screening of the 1980 slasher horror classic Friday the 13th . The film is just one of the 'milestone movies' included in the brand new book The Evolution of Horror: A Terrifying Guide to Horror Movie History by Mike Muncer, who will signing copies on the night. Covering everything from silent films to modern masterpieces, the book breaks down eight key horror subgenres - including slashers, vampires, zombies and ghost stories - to explore the tropes, motifs, historical context and psychology behind why certain stories scare us so much. Mike will also be joined by co-host Becky Darke for a live on-stage Q&A.
