An evening of music from Edinburgh and Glasgow. AULD SPELLS Edinburgh psychedelic dream poppers Auld Spells are tonight's headliners. Vic Galloway of BBC Scotland calls Auld Spells “my kind of soundtrack." Ian Corbridge from Louder Than War has said Auld Spells are “definitely one of the most exciting new bands I have come across for some time" and calls their sound "a heady mix of psychedelic grooves, dream pop and a love of a 60’s girl group inspired wall of sound ... A sound that will definitely appeal to fans of the Jesus and Mary Chain." BIG LANES Legendary Edinburgh indie outfit Big Lanes head west to bring their country-infused Galaxie 500 stylings to Glasgow. SMOKES M8 newcomers SMOKES open proceedings, taking to the stage at around 8pm. With influences from Flying Nun to Felt, they are mostly here to look cool. Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
