In this talk, anthropologist and writer Munira Khayyat will reflect on the ongoing erasure of South Lebanon. Its reality and its mediated forms and genres, as well the ways in which this deliberate erasure is being documented, confronted, resisted. Khayyat will speak from her own practice as an ethnographer and illuminate the burgeoning movement to hold on to and preserve what is being methodically obliterated. The talk will be moderated by Odessa Warren and followed by a Q&A. Doors open at 3.30pm; event starts at 4pm and ends at 5.30pm.
