Described by BBC World News as the “ Diva of the Sudanese Desert “, singer Amira Kheir has established herself as a leading voice emerging from Africa and the Middle East over the last decade. Since the release of 2011’s critically acclaimed album “View From Somewhere”, Amira has continued to build audiences who are drawn to her music. Through her unique sound and musical skills, Amira has been enchanting audiences around the world with music inspired by her homeland, Sudan, and exploring jazz, soul, rock, desert blues and experimental music. This has led to the creation of Nubian Jazz. Amira Kheir’s music is richly insightful, authentic, and beautifully acknowledges tradition, making her an artist who is impossible to ignore.
