Alicia and Gonzalo, a middle-class couple, are given the opportunity to enrol their son, Fer, in an elite secular school. For them, it offers a glimpse into a more privileged world—new social circles, greater opportunities, and the promise of a better future. They tell themselves they’re doing it for their son. But as they become increasingly drawn to the lifestyle they once observed from a distance, their ambitions begin to clash with their values, forcing them to question everything they once considered unquestionable. A sharply observed and darkly funny dramedy, Better Class dissects the aspirations, compromises, and contradictions of the middle class in its relentless pursuit of upward social mobility.
