The Acid Cabaret returns this September, bringing another genre‑bending night of Glasgow’s most imaginative performers. Glasgow’s premiere utopian variety night descends on The Glad Cafe on 12 September with lyrical indie‑pop from Tom Coward, Indian‑Scottish fusion from Alexandra Shrinivas, and mythic spoken word from Spencer Mason, as well as the wildcard open mic showcase. Our aim is simple: to build an accessible space of collective joy, bringing together diverse artists and audiences while ensuring everyone is paid on a fair‑pay‑to‑play basis. The Acid Cabaret is always seeking innovative performers for future shows (and for our wildcard open‑mic slot). If you believe, as bell hooks did, that the purpose of art is to help us imagine what is possible, get in touch via Instagram @theacidcabaret. Access Guide and Tickets for Personal Assistants You can view/download The Glad Cafe's Access Guide here . Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
