A night of song lead by four singer- songwriters all sharing in their joy for and in the beauty of songwriting. Ruby Dew and Max Runham will be sharing songs they’ve collaborated on together and joined by Alyx Bell and Hugh Fuchsen, who will be sharing their own original songs too. This will be a cosy evening of acoustic music, very fitting for the Green Note style. RUBY DEW: Ruby’s journey to music has been shaped by her desire to talk about the big issues of our time, her love of the natural world, the beauty and provocation of art, and the undisputed healing power of music. Ruby’s songs are a perfect balance to the crazy modern world we live in, with soothing storytelling balanced by bold encouragement to live better. Max Runham With his soaring vocals and playful songwriting, British singer/songwriter Max Runham has broken into the London scene this year with a unique Soulful, Pop sound. Drawing on inspirations from Ray LaMontagne, Jeff Buckley, Carole King and many more, Max has developed a very characteristic style. Born with one arm, his journey has taken him on a unique route through the music world and has given his playing a distinct sound. Doors open 7pm, Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
